Hazmat Logistics (HML) are a Heathrow-based transporter of dangerous goods. The business had a need of a new website once their former website had begun to lose them business. Here's how our independent thinking completely turned that business situation around.
Dangerous goods are materials or items with hazardous properties which, if not properly controlled, present a potential hazard to human health and safety; Hazmat Logistics is the leading UK carrier of dangerous goods and stands apart with licenses to transport all 9 classes of hazardous materials. However, when their self-built website was identified as the cause of a loss of a significant contract something needed to be done - quickly.
The old website wasn't only dangerous - it had become toxic.
Sub@omic's intervention began by taking-down the toxic site and replacing the website that had become hazardous to business health with an innovative holding page. The flashy holding page, with its E^motive web animation, generated the spark from which a secure, independent, unique and highly creative, responsive HTML website exploded.
Steve Whiting had been developing the exclusive E^motive technique for some months and realised the holding page would make the ideal commercial opportunity to make first use of his innovative style of web animation. E^motive images are created by layering animated GIFs onto JPEG backgrounds and this approach proved to be the perfect solution when an entire website had to be replaced with just one holding page; a holding page strong enough to a) confirm Hazmat Logistics' position as sector leader and b) prevent any further loss of new business.
The hazard lights of the delivery van that held the front page indicated that something was happening. Behind the scenes Sub@omic was busy sourcing the perfect stock footage from which an entire suite of 16 E^motive animations would be created. The challenge was to present a set of scalable and responsive illustrative animations for this carrier of biological, explosive and nuclear goods, without showing any sensitive or restricted collections, drops or sites.
Hazmat Logistics operate in a highly secure and highly regulated business sector. From the outset, Sub@omic's responsive designer website was built to be independent and totally secure - there is no CMS running this dangerous goods website, the website is built from pure HTML5 & CSS; there is absolutely nothing for the bad guys to hack into.
